Become a WSSC Member

We would like to invite you to become a member of the Willow Springs Scholarship Club.  The Scholarship Club was organized in 1976 to encourage students to continue their education after high school.  Membership is open to anyone interested in promoting higher education for WSHS graduates. Annual membership is $10 and a lifetime membership is $100.

A twelve member Board of Directors conducts the business of the Willow Springs Scholarship Club according to its written Articles of Association.  Members elect directors for a three year term.  Four directors are elected each year.   The Willow Springs Scholarship Club is organized as a nonprofit corporation in the State of Missouri and has been granted exempt status under Section 501 (c) (3) by the Internal Revenue Service. Contributions to the Scholarship Club are tax deductible.

All Willow Springs High School graduates planning to attend a college, university or vocational school are encouraged to apply for a scholarship.  A committee from the Scholarship Club selects the scholarship recipients.  The Selection Committee uses a blind process to determine which students will receive a scholarship. Selection for a scholarship is based upon academic performance, citizenship, leadership, and civic involvement.   Since 1976 the Willow Springs Scholarship Club has given $270,850 in scholarships to 194 students.
